This week we're tackling how to make custom Egg Rolls in an air fryer to keep your love handles lean and your muscles huge!
Egg Rolls Wrappers You can buy at your local Grocery StoreWe're making three different types of egg rolls while using the same protein.
Ingredients:
1 Package of Egg Roll wrappers.
Ground Turkey or your choice of protein
Asian Egg Roll Ingredients
1 Cup Chopped Cabbage
2 Sliced Scallions
1/2 Chopped White Onion
1 Cup Mushrooms
2 Cloves Garlic
Asian Sweet N Spicy Sauce
Mexican Egg Roll Ingredients
1/2 Avocado
1 Can Black Beans
Salsa
Shredded Cheese
Italian Egg Roll Ingredients
Canned Marinara Sauce
Shredded Mozzarella and Parmesan
Oregano
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions:
Prep Filling
Add your choice of protein to pan over medium/medium high heat; I'm using ground turkey.
Add Salt and pepper and cook 5-10 mins or until meat is cooked through.
Sautéed your choice of veggies, I'm chopping Cabbage (1 Cup), Slicing 2 scallions and 1/2 white onion, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 cup sliced mushrooms that I sautéed with a little salt and pepper.
Asian Egg Roll
To the egg roll wrapper corner add about 2.5 tablespoons of ground turkey and 2.5 tablespoons of your choice of sautéed veggies. Add 2 Tablespoons of sweet and spicy asian sauce. (You can find over the counter at your local grocery store. (If you want to make it yourself in a bowl mix together a little Soy Sauce, Lime juice, honey, sriracha and minced garlic.
With your finger wet the around the inside edges of the wrapper. First tuck in the back corner facing you, then tuck each side, brush a little water then roll it over
Mexican Egg Roll
To the corner of the egg roll wrapper add: 2 Tablespoons of mashed avocado, 2 tablespoons of Black Beans, 2 Tablespoons of ground turkey, 1 to 2 Teaspoons of Salsa and lastly sprinkle on a little cheese and roll it up.
Italian Egg Roll
To the corner of the egg roll wrapper add 2 Tablespoons of ground turkey, 2 tablespoons of good quality marinara sauce at the bottom and top, 4 tablespoons shredded mozzarella and parmesan (2 tbl spoon each) and lastly sprinkle a little Oregano and crushed red pepper on top and roll it up.
Air fry for 10 – 12 minutes at 420F, flipping halfway through! These will come out piping hot and golden brown. Enjoy!
